Remailit Follow-up desk

Follow-ups that come back to you on your calendar.

Flag a sent email with a remailit category. If nobody replies in time, Remailit puts a polite nudge on a calendar of its own — so the thread stops living rent-free in your head.

No new inbox. No email body access. Nothing to install on your phone.

Microsoft 365 Metadata only Free on your calendar
01 How it works

Three steps. Then it stays out of your way.

Everything happens where you already work: Outlook categories and the calendar.

1

Flag the sent email

Right-click the message in Sent Items → Categorize, and pick or type a remailit … label. Before or after sending — whichever fits your habit.

In Sent Items
2

We put it on the calendar

Remailit creates the follow-up immediately on a dedicated Remailit Follow-ups calendar, dated for its real due time. Marked Free, so it never makes you look busy.

On its own calendar
3

It closes itself

When someone replies, the event is removed automatically. Act on the reminder right from the event — snooze or mark done. No dashboard visit required.

Automatic
02 Labels

Say it the way you'd say it.

The label is the schedule. Use a short duration, a weekday phrase, or a specific date — in English or French. Anything a label can't express falls back to a sensible 3-day default rather than disappearing.

One small rule: keep a space after remailit. remailit 2d works; remailit-2d doesn't.
Label You get a reminder
remailit In 3 days — the default
remailit 2d · remailit 2j 2 days after the email was sent
remailit 1w · remailit 1sem 1 week after the email was sent
remailit tomorrow · remailit demain The next day, from now
remailit august 15 4pm That specific date and time
remailit 15 août 16h The same, en français
03 Privacy

It schedules reminders. It doesn't read your mail.

Remailit is built around metadata on purpose. Microsoft Graph's Mail.ReadBasic permission lets it see who a message is to, its subject, when it was sent, and its category — and nothing else. This isn't just a promise in a policy; it's the permission boundary.

  • Sees Subject, To/Cc, sent time, category, conversation ID.
  • Never sees Message body, attachments, or BCC recipients.
  • Writes only Categories, calendar events, and a token cache you can revoke anytime.
  • Stays put Hosted by Remailit on infrastructure it operates — no ad networks, no analytics, no selling data.
04 FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Short answers. The privacy notice has the long ones.

Do I need to install anything?

No. You connect your Microsoft 365 account, and Remailit uses Outlook's own categories and calendar. It works from the Outlook you already use, desktop or web.

Does it read my emails?

No. It only requests Mail.ReadBasic, which exposes headers and categories — not body content, not attachments, not BCC. A message's text never reaches Remailit's server.

What happens when someone finally replies?

Remailit sees the reply arrive, marks the follow-up resolved, and deletes its placeholder event from your Follow-ups calendar. Nothing lingers for you to clean up.

Will these reminders block my availability?

No. Follow-up events are created on their own calendar and marked Free. Hide or show that calendar like any other — it never makes you look busy.

Why does a "3 day" reminder sometimes look overdue?

Short durations count from when the email was sent, so flagging an older message with remailit 3d can be due immediately. Natural-language dates like remailit tomorrow count from when the label is read.

Which accounts work today?

Microsoft 365 / Outlook work accounts, in organizations provisioned for the pilot. Gmail support is on the roadmap but not live yet. Personal Microsoft accounts aren't supported — Remailit is built around organizational seats.

Can I stop using it?

Remove the category from an email to stop tracking that thread, or revoke Remailit's access from your Microsoft account at any time. To have stored metadata deleted, email us — see the privacy notice.
